hihi. :))))))))
today--ROCKED. Cos i went over to Esther's (aka Mrs Ballack) place to hang out, and escaped my normal life for a while.
can i add that esther's life ROCKS?
OK, here's what we did today:
i arrived at her condo. at around 12 pm. on the way, i passed this HUGE house with a SATTELITE DISH on their front lawn. i am serious. if you don't believe me, go and see for yourself.
then mrs b. and i went into her room and chatted for a while (not to mention bitching about a certain someone), and after changing her shirt, we went down to the poolside. it turned out that it was her sister's birthday party, and they were having it at the poolside/BBQ pit. ate one slice of Hawaiin AND Pepperoni pizza, and drank plenty of coke. also polished off some BBQ chips, from Lays.
then after we ate, we went to the condo.'s playground and swung on the swings for a while. NOTE TO SELF: PRACTICE SWINGING WHENEVER I CAN. i also realised that having long legs is a big disadvantage: you can't curl your legs into a 'kneeling' position without scraping the ground and nearly falling off the rubber seat of the swing. Believe me, i've tried.
then when we were all sweaty and tired, we went back upstairs where esther changed her shirt AGAIN. then we went on her brand-new laptop, where we visited lots of blogs, including Melli's, who arrived when we were visiting matt's blog.
feeling bored, the three of us went back into esther's room to rate her closet: she has ALOT of skirts. and even i, an avoider of most skirts, long or short, admitted that some of them looked pretty nice, and even pulled them out to try on. oh, and several tops as well.
and then Vera arrived. at that time, it was around... um... 3pm. :D we (OK, Melli and I) were trying on esther's clothes. Melli, satisfied with her current appearance (white collared shirt with a black tank top thrown over, and jeans) went into the bathroom with Vera and Esther to experiment with make-up while i pulled on this dress of esther's. it was GORGEOUS. black in colour, it was a tube dress. which put me off a little. but i tried it on anyway, since it was so pretty, and guess what??? PERFECT FIT!!! :)))))
Even esther, the world's biggest fashion critic, said i looked good in it.
(haha. sooooo ego.)
then she tossed me some jackets and shirts to wear on top of the dress. tried all of them on. and looked good in some, not so great in others.
then i pulled on some other clothes, like a blue and white bubble skirt, which i really, really wanted. (MELLI: bubble skirts??? ewwwwwww. ME+ESTHER: *GLARES*)
haha. then after that, esther made me put on the tube dress AGAIN so she could match make-up for me. even worse, she wanted to put MASCARA on me.
ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all the make-up I need is a little gloss and maybe some eyeshadow, if i'm performing. otherwise, it's au natural for me.
VERA: Please, she doesn't even need mascara. See? Her eyelashes are so long!
Why, thank you, Vera. :D
So esther relented and just put on some of her gloss, which was so sparkly and gooey that it made me look like an alien from Mars.
ME: EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! *goes into bathroom to wipe of gunk*
then i pulled on my shirt over the dress to go out and have birthday cake. looked like i was wearing a skirt.
at the dining table, Vera, Esther and Melli ganged up on me and started comparing how i was different from them (e.g. "Hey, isn't it Laura's first time at your house? HAHA, EXTRA!!!")

after changing back into my usual clothes, the four of us went down to the playground to play this game Vera taught us, "Grounder", or something. Sort of like Blindman's Buff, 'cept the catcher can call out "Grounder", and whgoever is on the ground is the next catcher. and i was moving around like crazy when it was melli's turn to be catcher, cos she was following me around, and i had to climb down the high, netty thing to escape her.
did i mention i'm afraid of heights?
after that, we went back to esther's room. Vera then took out a set of cards and we played them, and then, unfortunately, my mom called and said i had to go NOW, or i would be late for English tuition.
then when i got there, i realised that i had forgotten to do the work, but Ms Chang was very kind, and said that i could hand it up next week.
oh, and Shimin asked if i put mascara, cos my eyelahes were really long.
