so. about forbidden city:
well, the new theatre is MAGNIFICANT. seriously. it's all red, gold and brown.
and did i mention it's huge?
yeah. i sat on the third level.
my view was pretty good, lah.
'cept the actors onstage were about 15 cm in height.
haha.
well, joy, i hope you go and see it. it really is very good, even though some journalist made snide remarks about it being historically incorrect.
but WTH, it only serves to entertain, right?
so joy:
the scenery was mainly this structure made out of real steel, and it had white cloth on it, but they pulled it down during the war scene. there was also these ppl running around behind sheets. yeah. haha.
confused? GO AND WATCH IT FOR YOURSELF. you won't regret it!
the lighting was FANTASTIC! the lighting ppl were reeeeeaaaally good, man. ;D
and of course, the Empress Dowager, the record keepers and Kit Chan were brilliant.
now i can hear the musical all over again in the comfort of my own home (i bought the CD)! ;D
it was just... well, fantastic.
and i wanna watch it again!
but the tickets are like $74 after a 20% discount... sigh. so sad...
